Since 2018, the NCC Annual Training Camps of the 1 HP Girls Battalion, Solan, have been conducted at Eternal University and Akal Academy Baru Sahib, the Valley of Peace.
Each year, two training camps bring together around 1,200 cadets, 600 in each camp, from nearly 50 schools and colleges across 9 districts of Himachal Pradesh. The cadets participate through the Junior Wing for school students and the Senior Wing for college students.
This year, 24 girls from Grades 9 and 10 at Akal Academy Baru Sahib are participating in the Junior Wing, while 55 girls from Eternal University are participating in the Senior Wing at the 248th Annual Training Camp.
The 600 cadets at each camp are organised into four companies-
A- Alpha
B- Bravo
C- Charlie
D- Delta.
Cadets from Akal Academy Baru Sahib form Alpha Company, while cadets from Eternal University form Bravo Company.
Under the leadership of Commanding Officer Col. Vivek Bhatara, the camp provides cadets with structured exposure to military training, leadership and physical development. Their training includes marching techniques, squad formations, parade commands, weapon training, Air rifle shooting, map & Compass reading, sports and physical training.

The first episode captures the glimpses of cadets, as they report for the 248th NCC Annual Training Camp, complete their documentation and biometric verification, and begin the enrolment process.
