40th Foundation Day Celebration Series | Ep 1
With the divine blessings of Guru Sahib Ji, the revered Founding Saints, Parents and Sadh Sangat Ji across the globe, Akal Academy Baru Sahib marked the successful completion of its 40th Foundation Day celebrations (21–24 October 2026), commemorating 40 years since 1986.
The occasion was also dedicated to the 100th Birth Anniversary of Padma Shri Hon’ble Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji (1926–2022), honouring the founding father's vision and selfless service in education, spirituality and seva.
At the heart of the celebrations were the students of Akal Academy Baru Sahib, who organised and performed the programmes under the guidance and blessings of Hon’ble Dr. Davinder Singh Ji, President of The Kalgidhar Trust; Hon’ble Dr. Neelam Kaur Ji; and their teachers.
The celebrations welcomed Sadh Sangat Ji from the United Kingdom, who travelled to Baru Sahib for the Faith Walk and Foundation Day. Highlights included Gatka, Book Fair, Chardi Kala Stall, TED Talk, Future Founder Summit, IB and Art Exhibitions, and AI, Robotics and Drone showcases.
Other special events included the felicitation of outstanding student achievers across 130 Akal Academies and a Millet Food Workshop raising awareness of the nutritional benefits of these traditional grains.
Above all, “Dastan-e-Guru Nanak” beautifully presented the life and teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj through storytelling, connecting the audience with Guru Sahib Ji’s invaluable teachings.
In this episode, we share glimpses of the main 40th Foundation Day celebrations held on 24 October 2026. More stories and special moments will follow.
