10m Air Rifle Shooting Workshop

From learning the basics to taking aim at the target, students participated in an Air Rifle Shooting Workshop as part of the school's sports and experiential learning programme. The workshop was held for Under-17 and Under-15 age categories, introducing the fundamentals of 10m Air Rifle shooting, a recognised international shooting discipline.

Trainers guided the students through the technical aspects of the sport, including standing posture, safe and correct rifle handling, aiming and sight alignment, stability, controlled breathing, and maintaining focus while shooting. Implementing the techniques, students practiced multiple shooting rounds and analysed the results.

The workshop also introduced students to potential career options in shooting across different categories, covering both rifle and pistol disciplines at 10m, 25m, 50m, and 300m ranges. The professional career pathway starts at the district level, leading to state-level competitions and progressing to national and, ultimately, international levels.

The experiential learning workshop helped students gain a deeper understanding of this Olympic sport.
