If a Sikh wants to become one with his/her guru, he/she must look like a guru (wear a dastar). Guru Gobind Singh Ji stated:
Khalsa mero roop hai khaas. Khalsa me hau karo nowas.
(“Khalsa is a true picture of mine. I live in Khalsa.”)
The dastar is considered an integral part of the unique Sikh identity. It signifies many virtues like equality, spirituality, courage, friendship, piety and moral values.
On 29-03-2021 an Inter Class Dastar Bandi Competition was held on the school’s terrace in which students participated enthusiastically exhibiting their skills of tying a dastar.
