Martyrdom of Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Goal: To inculcate tolerance and humbleness and inspire to live in the will of Almighty.[read more] Guru Arjan Dev Ji, revered as fifth the Nanak, the head of martyrs and sowed the seed of martyrdom which flourished after him and became the heritage of Sikh people. He was born to Bibi Bhani Ji and fourth guru Guru Ramdas ji in 1563 at Goindwal. He had two elder brothers named Prithi Chand and Mahadev. Guru Arjan Dev Ji was knowledgeable, sharp minded and very serene from his childhood. Guru Amardas Ji gave him the blessings of Dohita Bani ka Bohitha. He fulfilled this by composing Bani. He spent his whole life according to his father’s guidelines. Guru Ramdas Ji analyzed him and gave him the responsibility of Gurugadi. His tenure was very significant as he radically changed the entire character of Sikhism from passive people to courage saint soldiers. Fifth Guru Ji was the first one who sacrificed his life for religion. While staying in tranquility is the will of the Almighty , he endured injustice and recited “Tera Bhana Mitha Lage”. He gave new direction to Sikh Religion after composing Guru Granth Sahib Ji.  His martyrdom brought a drastic change in Sikh Panth. Guru Arjan Dev Ji is a great inspiration of tolerance and humbleness which inspires us to lead our life in the wish of Eternal. Events have been organized are:
