World Environment Day

Goal: To stimulate worldwide awareness of the environment and education for sustainable development.

World environment day is celebrated to spread awareness, to encourage people to take action and to protect the environment. The celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals, enterprises and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment.

Students of IB World School, Baru Sahib took initiative to raise responsiveness on emerging from environmental issues to human over population and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. The theme for 2020 is “Bio Diversity“. It is the biggest, most widely celebrated, global day for positive environmental action. This year, the day focuses on beating plastic pollution. Students of IB World School also inculcated to avoid the use of plastic and recycle the waste.
