Mathematics Quiz is one of the activities with the help of which a teacher can motivate and encourage children to be principled, active and courageous and to enhance critical thinking.[read more]Exploring Math makes children to think creatively, to act creatively and to do creatively.These can be achieved by teaching mathematics more as a process than as a product and the very purpose of teaching mathematics is to provide children facts, concepts and making children to develop carefulness in making statements.Students become reflective and they are able to assess and understand their strengths and limitations in order to support their learning and personal development. Participation in Quiz helps students to enhance knowledge and excellence. It enables the teachers to assess their Mathematical skills, proficiency and aptitude.Groups: Quiz was organized separately in two groups-Group 1 - Nursery to Grade II studentsGroup 2 - Grade III to Grade V students.Duration of Quiz: Each group gets 40 minutes for completing different rounds.Quiz Rounds:Round 1 - Question were based on KnowledgeRound 2 - Questions were meant for testing student understandingRound 3 - Questions were to test transfer of learning Math ConceptsRound 4- Buzzer round to check Math speed and their rapidness or quickness in answering was counted along with accuracy.Participants: The inter-house activity was an opportunity for 24 students to represent their House.The Results of the quiz are as follows:| Position | Group I (Nur- II) | Group II (III- V) | ||
